Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds assignment uses the technique of not shooting the key part of the image in the middle of the scene. I demonstrated this technique with the above and below images. To start the top image is of my friend when we are out biking I made it so he would appear more to the left third than the right and by doing this I was able to include a large amount of contrast between the surroundings and the person. I have to say I am very happy with this image as it draws attention to the person but you can also appreciate the nature. In the below image I used the right third of the image in an effort to capture the shark more than myself. As you can see with the green background the shark is easily brought out. I have to say I am very pleased with how this image turned out because I achieved my goal of making the shark standout.

Leading Line Post

Image result for leading lines photography

These photos all demonstrate lines in objects. The first picture is of a wall in my home which has tile on it. The tile as you can see has white lines in between the tiles. The reason why I choose this photo is because the lines lead to the center piece of marble in the middle. They draw your eyes to follow the lines to see the center piece. The lines even in the center piece draw to the darker spiral as a result of looking at it. The soccer ball was taken out on the turf as you can see there are many lines on the field such as the yard lines to the right and the foul line to the left. This makes it so the eyes attention is brought to the ball. The colors also express such a contrast that it also draws the eye. There are lines on the soccer ball itself that also kind of draws the eye to the middle pentagon in the ball. I feel both of these images came out great as the both demonstrate the leading lines technique, which I explained above.

Perspective post

These are my different perspective pictures of a vase of flowers inside my home. I liked how these photos turned out because it shows contrast between the colors of the different flowers. I always love to look at the flowers because they are very appealing to my eyes as they are pretty much the first thing I see in the morning. The different views of the flowers allow me to not  only compare but be able to appriciate a new perspective. The flowers consist of red roses and a big sun flower.  For the first photo I did an aerial view then a ground up and lastly a straight on photo.
